New Ways To Shop And Save by Dr Graham Clingbine
When it comes to shopping, my patience immediately flies out the window. This is very strange. I am a keen angler and can sit happily by a riverbank for many hours without a bite. It seems that my patience is unlimited when I am fishing.
The trawl up and down the aisles of a supermarket has no attraction for me. I want to grab what I need and get out as soon as possible. When I go shopping with family I cannot bear the way that products are examined for ”sell by” dates, price cuts and ”buy one get one free” offers.
There is no logic to the feeling I get of wasting time. I have long since abandoned the idea of shopping with other people, especially family. I soon start nagging to ‘hurry up’ and this leads to arguments. It is mutually agreed these days that I am best left to my own devices while shopping is being undertaken and in fact my family members are pleased to leave me behind to do my own thing.
I am the same with ”window shopping”. I really cannot see the point of staring through shop windows at expensive items, tools, gadgets and clothes that I am never going to buy. While thousands of people take a special trip to browse the big stores in Oxford Street in Central London, I am happy to be far away from the crowds. My personal shopping is done as quickly as possible and if I need something unusual I will happily get it by mail order.
My attitude to shopping causes me at least one problem. My rush to hurry up and get it over with does mean I may miss out on special offers and bargains. I do not have a limitless budget and cannot afford to overspend. I have now partially solved this issue by shopping online and using a new software genie which saves money and time. I will briefly review this ”App”.
The genie is an innovative online shopping App that instantly finds and displays cheap deals and low prices on numerous products. It’s fast, it’s easy to use and best of all it’s free. The genie becomes visible when a search is made online to shop for an item. It links to top retailers and auction sites such as Amazon, Ebay, Walmart and Tesco.
Whichever way you shop, try to enjoy your browsing experience. If you are like me and do not have the patience for conventional shopping, you may find a useful alternative by shopping online and saving money.
