How to Succeed Online Using Free Manual Traffic Exchanges by Ryan Hogan
Free manual traffic exchanges are very effective in building your online business but only if used correctly.
Although some industry veterans may regard traffic exchanges as an old technique, the fact is that they have been around over 10 years and are becoming more and more popular every year as the internet grows.
Depending on whether or not you are a new or veteran manual traffic exchange user, you may or may not be aware of a couple insider techniques that separate those who succeed with them from those that don’t.
The first thing you should consider is using a tabbed browser. Firefox and the latest Internet Explorer are good choices.
These will allow you to open more than one surf session at a time and helps you accumulate credits faster in multiple traffic exchanges. I recommend surfing in no more than 4 tabs at a time.
Next, create a fast loading, attention-grabbing squeezepage.
A squeezepage is a simple page that contains a headline, some key bullet points and an opt-in form.
If you do not have an autoresponder, it’s a very good idea to use one in order to follow up and build relationships with your prospects.
When you create your squeezepage, make sure that it targets your market by appealing to their needs and delivers something of value.
Avoid using generic affiliate pages. Keep in mind that many other surfers are doing the same thing and standing out from them with your own unique squeezepage will give you an advantage.
Using a squeezepage also allows you to sustain greater profits long term since you can continue to follow up with them on a regular basis. You can use the follow ups to offer tips, advice or even recommend Clickbank products. The possibilities are endless.
Here are some pointers to use when creating your squeezepage for manual traffic exchanges:
-Use your full name and if the situation calls for it, your phone number as well. You do not want to lose any potential customers by not allowing them to get in touch with you for more information.
-Do not be afraid to use a photo of yourself. Since people like to know who they are doing business with, it will increase the level of trust your prospects may have in you since you are not trying to hide from them.
-Grab their attention with a bold headline. Use words to show the urgency or benefits of subscribing now and colors such as red for the headline and blue for sub headings. For everything else, black should be fine.
-List the benefits. Include a short list of key benefits in a bulleted list. I recommend three to four descriptive but short sentences that highlight the benefits they’ll get by subscribing to your list.
-Using audio and video. If you plan to feature audio or video, be sure to always offer a stop button if either of them are set to play automatically. Giving people this option is considered more considerate of your audience.
In traffic exchanges, audio and video without stop buttons can turn people away.
-Offer some free content. Offering free content such as reports or quality tips is very effective in capturing leads. People are naturally skeptical, so this will help break down any walls people have built up and further establish trust. Avoid giving away junk and remember to keep value in mind.
-Testing and tweaking. You will need to test which exchanges are the best by determining which ones deliver a steady flow of traffic and signups.
The second thing you should check for are the conversion rates. If you are getting consistent signups from your squeezepage, continue using that traffic exchange and consider also purchasing some credits to save yourself some time and surf less.
You should join at least five to ten traffic exchanges to test and see which you like best and convert best for you. In many cases, it may be that your headline or bullet points need some adjustments.
Constantly test and tweak your squeezepage until you reach your desired results.
-Be persistent. Once you have completed all the above, keep at it for about two to three months.
Establishing trust in your audience and getting your name out there takes a little time to brand but rest assured, the payoff can big if you don’t quit. Treat it like a hobby, and it will pay you like a hobby. Treat it like a business and it will pay you like a business.
By applying the above points to your strategy, you will see an increase in the size of your list, a greater awareness of your name and business and positive business growth.
With a little honest effort, manual traffic exchanges definitely can and will work for you.
